Eleven private cottages are being thoughtfully renewed to welcome guests for the 2027 season. Set among the trees and historic landscape of Ringwood Estate, the cottages offer a relaxed home base for exploring Cooperstown, Otsego Lake and the surrounding region.
The Estate
27 acres. More than a century of stories.
At the heart of Ringwood Estate stands Ringwood Manor, built in 1900 as the summer home of Arthur and Emily Ryerson. Today, a new chapter is beginning as the cottages are renewed, the landscape is restored and Ringwood Manor is preserved for its future as a museum and cultural destination.
History
A place shaped by generations.
The story of Ringwood stretches from the Whipple family's early connection to the land to the Ryerson family, the Titanic, generations of Beaver Cross campers and the Estate's next chapter. Through preservation and future museum programming, these stories will continue to be discovered, shared and experienced.
